Policies & Procedures:
Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the studio policy. A clear understanding of the policy will reduce confusion later on.
A 100% deposit is required to book your first session. The deposit will be applied to your session or refunded only if you cancel more than 24 hours before your session time. Sessions may also be rescheduled 24 hours prior to session start times. If you have to cancel or reschedule within 24 hours, you will be charged for one hour of the studio suite that you booked. All bookings are done via website and studio calendar dictates client access and room rates/availability.
Payment is required upon booking of each session. Payment may be made online via Paypal when booking your session:
Your account must be paid in full prior to receiving your master. Bounces are generally provided via email or hard drive, but may also be supplied via a link (Session Files must be requested during the session) Files requested outside of the session will cost a transfer fee (Stated below via Session Files)
When possible you may move in and start setting up prior to your start time. If the studio is available and the engineer is not present, the session will not start until the engineer arrives. Please call the day before your session to determine if an early setup is possible. The clock begins when the engineer starts working (setting up sessions, converting and downloading instrumentals, getting levels, etc.) When you indicate you are finished and the equipment is no longer in use the clock stops. If masters are still being bounced, the clock continues to run until the render is finished and transferred.
When you book sessions, it is expected you will arrive on time and we adjust our schedule accordingly. It should be understood that we will bill you from the beginning of your scheduled time regardless of what time you arrive. Studio time is billed in 1-hour increments only.
While in the studio, the client(s) responsible for booking decides how the time will be spent throughout the session. Recording, editing, mixing, adding effects or tuning vocals; our engineers are capable of handling a wide-range of requests. Any client who isn’t sure of the best way to spend the session time can always consult with the engineer during the session in order to decide what would be the most effective use of the time based on their specific needs. Unfortunately, Mastering and Custom Productions/Reproductions are specialized services and cannot be performed during regular session times (these services have to be booked as an add-on or standalone (with the exception of any packages or promotions where they are listed as “included”). Smaller tasks such as downloading files, rendering sessions, transferring folders and converting formats all take time and must be factored into how many hours might be necessary. Our engineers work efficiently and our order of operations prevent time being lost, however certain processes though time consuming, are simply unavoidable.
Breaks (15 minutes):
During sessions 4 Hours or longer, if you wish to take a 15 minute break, you may do so without losing session time. If you want to work through the break to listen to the session, do edits, overdubs, etc., the clock continues to run. If the engineer encounters a technical problem, the session time will be held until normal function returns.
We do our best to be flexible. Often another session is scheduled immediately following yours and in most cases we allow at least 15 minute leeway between sessions. If you should require a little more time, we will try to continue and ask the next scheduled appointment if they can wait. However, if this is not acceptable to them, we ask that you be considerate and stop your project and schedule another session. It is always a good idea to leave 10-20 minutes left at the end of your session to double-check final bounces and allow time for uploads and file transfers.
If no one is scheduled after you, there may be an opportunity to continue working until you reach your goal or wish to stop. If you want more time you will have to pay full price for hourly sessions: No voucher, Promos or Coupons can be used. Extending session time remains at the studio’s discretion.
After Hours Sessions:
Yes, We are open 24 hours but doors are locked at 10pm. If you want to schedule a late session please do so in 48 hours in advance. Sessions from 10pm until Am time will have to be kept at a respected volume level. Sessions that are scheduled to end before 10pm but are extended beyond 11pm will be charged $25/hours on top of the regular room rate.
To arrange to have an engineer present on weekends, a minimum of 3 hours must be scheduled.
Smoking is prohibited on the premises by order of the Fire Marshal. If you choose to smoke outdoors, please use the receptacle provided for this purpose.
As a professional recording studio we respect the intellectual property rights of all artists. We conduct session sign-ins as well as administer forms to keep adequate records of all studio activities. At your request we will explain how to obtain royalties and rights registrations from the appropriate sources.
Recording session files are readily available upon request. During the session is the best opportunity to receive all files and formats needed from the engineer, and transferring those files to your personal high-speed hard drive is highly recommended. Again, our suggestion is to spend the last 10-20 minutes of each session simply organizing and storing sessions and bounces. Files that are requested post-session will be made accessible via download links and will incur service fees depending on the nature of the request:
